SHOPPING TROLLEY – 2013
Redesigning a product which has been left unchanged for many years, the main objective of this concept was to make the practice of shopping more sustainable but also more technologically intuitive. With customers initially buying a personalised reusable bag which the customer hangs in their shopping trolley having the option with a smartphone application to scan a product from the shelf and scanning the personalised bag when processing the transaction at the register all the shop assistant has to do is scan the bag and confirm weight. This service takes the irritability away from current ‘green bags’ where users fill the bags only to empty and fill them again. Made from recycled plastic the trolley aims to be user friendly for a many number of demographics.
